In February, Ahmad spent a week with the Jackson Rowe Project Delivery and Employment & Skills teams during the half‑term break. Ahmad was introduced to Jackson Rowe through mock interviews at Barton Peveril College, where was attending on behalf of Bellway and Miller Homes, who are delivering a major development near the college. During the session, Ahmad expressed a real interest in Quantity Surveying.
To support their development, Harry arranged a week-long placement to give Ahmad hands‑on exposure to site visits, snagging, measuring and wider surveying activities. The week concluded with Ahmad presenting to members of the senior leadership team, reflecting on what was learned and how the experience shaped future goals.
Harry highlighted the importance of not only learning technical skills but also gaining confidence in a professional environment. He noted Ahmad’s strong growth over the week and the value of seeing different roles within the industry to broaden his understanding of potential career paths.
