Jackson Rowe Directors attend CPR Training session from Crowborough Community First Responders

21 February 2022

Jackson Rowe is a proud supporter of Crowborough Community First Responders, a team of specially trained volunteers who respond to emergency 999 calls in partnership with South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.  They receive no central funding and rely entirely on donations.

Our Directors recently went along to a CPR Training session run by Leigh Westwood from the charity.  It was a highly informative and thought provoking session, which included some fascinating facts.

For example, did you know that using the 112 (European Emergency Number) or the new what3words app (rather than 999) will help pinpoint your precise location in an emergency, particularly in areas such as the Ashdown Forest?  Or that the Ambulance Service receives approximately 2,000 calls a week in the Crowborough area alone? Neither did we!
