Jackson Rowe Remembers

3 November 2024

Armistice Day, commemorated on 11th November each year, marks the end of the first World War in 1918, when the Allied forces and Germany signed an armistice to cease hostilities. Observed as a day of remembrance and reflection, Armistice Day honours the sacrifices of all who served and lost their lives in military conflicts. Over time, this day has become an occasion to honour veterans and victims of all wars, encouraging a shared commitment to lasting peace.

At 11.00am, Jackson Rowe will observe a moment of silence to pay tribute to the courage and resilience of those who fought for peace.

“At the going down of the sun,

and in the morning,

We will remember them”.
