Duncan commenced his career at Jackson Rowe in 1993, before leaving to set up his own business in 2005. Duncan returned to Jackson Rowe in 2009 as a Director. Duncan has worked on projects around the UK and worldwide, including projects in Asia, Europe and the West Indies. Including a two year placement in Jackson Rowe’s Hong Kong office.
Duncan’s training has been in the consultancy sector, however Duncan has been placed on long term secondments with sub-contractors, Main Contractors and client side placements with major residential, Process Engineering and Infrastructure clients. Duncan has worked on a broad spectrum of projects in many sectors of the Construction Property and Process Industries.
Duncan qualified as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor in 2001 and was appointed as a Director of Jackson Rowe in 2009.
Duncan has worked on many major projects including the New Hong Kong Airport at Chek Lap Kok (Hong Kong), the Lamberhurst Bypass and the Kings Cross Station Redevelopment; the New Aylesford Newsprint Paper Recycling Depot and the SAGE Gas/Oil Refinery in Peterhead and many other Commercial and Residential Projects ranging from £100,000 to £45 million.
Duncan is experienced in providing advice to the Property and Construction Industry and regularly speaks at internal and external seminars on Construction and Property Related matters designed to assist Employers and Contractors.
Duncan has experience in contentious matters and acts for both Referring and Responding Parties in Adjudications and for defending and claiming parties in disputes throughout the Construction Industry.
Duncan acts as Expert Witness on quantum matters and has acted as a Single Joint Expert and Expert Witness in Adjudication proceedings, Mediation and Litigation. Duncan is an Individual Member of the Expert Witness Institute.
